Moving sculpture is a continuing interest of Julia’s. With weathervanes, she is able to create sculpture that can also be playful. She has always enjoyed gardening, as a result nature has become a theme in her work.
The ‘Flower and Sun’ weathervane, shown below, was commissioned by a Master Gardening Club in the Statesville area.
The “Grapes of Gratitude Bird" weathervane graces the front yard of her friend Teresa's house.
"Sun" in snow. Sculpture added brilliant contrast and dimension in the winter garden.
